As usual in point form, here are the highlights of the week:
- Sales: Grab.in was sold for about $910. This sale is interesting since its a pretty old domain (2005) and a premium name. I was hoping that this would be easily a $2K+ name. Maybe the seller needed the money I guess. The buyer appears to be “Grab a Grub Services Pvt Ltd” from Mumbai. Looks like a GrubHub or UpranSpoon kind of setup. Also Out.in is on auction on SEDO. At the moment there are three bids and over three days to. Hopefully this should meet reserve.
- LLL.IN Buyout: We are nearing a LLL.IN buyout. Just 25 short of absolute buyout. If we hit this landmark, it will be the third time that this will be occurring.
- NIXI: NIXI is the Govt. organization that runs the .in Registry. It seems that after PM Narendra Modi’s “Make in India” initiative, NIXI is finally doing something to promote .in domains. I have received two emails about their latest FaceBook page. For those interested, here is the link https://www.facebook.com/nixiindia?ref=hl
